Little One’s Easter Basket

Easter will definitely be different this year with being quarantined BUT it is my son’s first Easter so the bunny is still going to stop on by.

I kept the items practical as him only being 5 months old he won’t remember it, so it is a win-win as they are gifts but practical items I know will get used and loved. Everything (minus the gray outfit- found at Walmart) is from Target, I know a real surprise, but you can get anything similar from just about any other store or found online from Amazon.

I purchased the small basket from the dollar spot at Target and knew it would be perfect for his Easter basket, but know it can be used for something else if I decide not to keep it as his Easter basket as he grows.

Keeping things practical I went with only one toy, one outfit, and a few books. Everything else I bought are items he needs and will be used well.

Since he is just starting solid foods I purchased four Beech-Nut jars. Their beginning stages (4-6 months) are smooth and organic. I plan to make his food when he is eating more solids but went with a few different flavors just to try as he is just starting. I went with pumpkin, carrot, prunes, and pear.

Then I went with this sippy cup that has handles and is spill-proof so I knew I would be a fan of it.

A teether because this boy is chomping on everything so another teether around will get plenty of love from our little teething boy. I went with this Itzy Ritzy: Cactus Teether

As his vision is improving and sensory development is key I purchased this See, Touch, Feel book and of course Peter Rabbit to add to his growing book collection as a fun book that fits with Easter/ Springtime. I then found two books in the dollar spot that are felt. One that shows colors and the other the alphabet. For now, I know he will love the bright colors and feelings of the felt while in the future we can use them to learn the alphabet and the color names.

More shampoo and bath soap and a set of baby toothbrushes as his first toothbrush to keep those new teeth clean when they do pop through.

For his one toy, I tried to find something that he will hopefully like as he grows (and it being light/ battery-free as we prefer in our house). I found these animal links and thought they were perfect, and I know he will love staring at the colors.

Now even though this little guy has more clothes than my husband and I combined I went with this one outfit. No excuse other than I liked it! It’s a miracle I stuck with one.

So although Easter will be different I am excited to have our first one as a family of three and start some new traditions and enjoy giving out baskets.
